So, I got a typewriter.
They are a rare find in Flea Markets, and I found two today. I chose the one with the best price, and it still works. I can't wait to get a new ribbon for it and some ink. It's going o be up and running like it did in its glory days very soon!
Flea Markets are really something special to me. I love old things. There's a certain beauty in dusty records, yellow paged books, and Elvis's music that modern technology cannot replace. It's fun to think about what the history of the old objects cluttered around in a Flea Market are.
Very cool Shelby! It's a beautiful typewriter :-) I have a mint coloured one but it needs new ribbon. :p

DeleteThats so cool!!! I think... we have one in storage, that my mom actually used to type on XD she says that old ones are hard because you really gotta press hard and it was hard on her pinky fingers.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, so true! My keys keep getting stuck and I have to press so hard for the words to show up on the paper. XD But, it's still super fun to have in my room.
